Ah, where to begin this grand adventure of writing my very first book? I read somewhere that Thomas Edison failed thousands of times trying to invent the electric light bulb. Since this is my very first attempt at writing a book and I only get one try at it, I hope you will keep that in mind and bear with me as you read on. It won’t take you very long to discover that I’m not much of a writer by any stretch of the imagination, but I’ve decided to just take the basic “I don’t give a damn” approach and complete this work so I can get on with the rest of my life. Therefore, I’m going to give it my best shot and let the chips fall where they may. Regardless of what you think of it, however, your money will not be totally wasted because I’m also going to include several old family recipes for my grandma Sadie’s world famous spaghetti and my grandma Clara’s soft and moist oatmeal cookies that’ll knock your hat in the creek and you can’t beat that!

Since this is my first book and I’m not widely known, I think an introduction and history of my background would be in order. Then, if anyone is interested in my qualifications for writing this material, I can just tell them to read this book and not have to repeat the information ad nauseum. Also, I apologize up front for the length of this introductory material, but it will give you a better understanding of me and the path that lead to this book.

For you numerology fans, I was born Gary Lee Johnson, but like many other New Age people, I have assumed a persona that resonates very strongly with my work on the planet. Clark Kent emerges from a telephone booth as the persona of Superman…faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! In a similar fashion, there are special occasions when I emerge as the persona Da Gizmo…faster than the speed of light and able to leap through vast dimensions in a single bound! You don’t have to be crazy to be in this New Age business, but it helps. Sometimes being crazy is what it takes.

For you astrology fans, I chose to be born on August 18th, 1944 in Denver, Colorado at 11:56 a.m. This makes me a triple leo with scorpio rising and a leo moon plus everything including the kitchen sink in the sign of virgo which makes me not only a perfectionist, but also a predominantly left-brained person. Someone said they weren’t sure if I was just a left-brained person or simply not in my right mind (ha ha!). There is a fine line between genius and insanity and most people who meet me for the first time aren’t sure which side of the line I’m on. All I know is that I consider “normal” to be boring.

I have two brothers, Earl and James, and a sister, Karen, and would say I grew up normally even though my parents were divorced when I was five years old. As far as my religious background is concerned, I was baptized a Lutheran at a very young age and attended Sunday school and church on a semi-regular basis until I went to live with my father when I was 11 or 12 years old. When I was in the 9th grade in 1959, I made a book report on the UFO phenomenon and became fascinated with the subject. Even though I have never joined a UFO group or society, I have kept up to date as much as possible over the years and have presented many programs on the subject.

If you didn’t read the introduction, please take the time to go back and do it before you read this chapter so I won’t have to explain things twice. First of all, just what is this Rainbow Chamber anyway? I guess you could say it’s just another one of those ideas whose time has come. Everything that I have studied scientifically, religiously, metaphysically and spiritually lead me to create The Rainbow Chamber or just “the chamber” for short. I gave it that name because it incorporates rainbow Light-based technologies and doesn’t sound threatening, religious or cultish in any way. In a nutshell, the chamber is a proto model environment presented on the following two levels:

LEVEL 1: Relaxation, Stress Management, Prayer/Meditation, Social Functions, Creativity, Healing, Learning, Problem Solving, Memory Access, Pain Control, Correcting or Erasing Bad Habits, etc.

LEVEL 2: Ascension technology for Lightbody activation…Yahoo!

Level 1 is designed with simple, common sense, down-to-earth principles and technologies. On the other hand, there is nothing that is simple nor down-to-earth about Level 2. By presenting the chamber on these two levels, I can offer a little something for everyone. Even though Level 1 of the chamber was initially designed to entice people to meditate more frequently, the uses and applications of such an environment are virtually limitless. Both levels, however, literally act as a spiritual tune-up and can be considered “chicken soup for the soul.”

It doesn’t take a genius to understand that stress is bad for you. In a nutshell, studies have shown that stress produces chemicals in your body that are harmful to your immune system. So it’s no wonder there have been estimates that 75-90% of all illnesses contain a stress related component. It’s also no secret that stress is rampant in today’s world. Yet, for the most part, very little is being done about it, all in the name of making a buck or saving a buck or perhaps even out of shear ignorance or stupidity. For whatever reason, anything that can reduce stress should be welcomed with open arms.

Discoveries by Robert S. Eliot, M.D., F.A.C.C., former director of the Cardiovascular Institute at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado indicate that about 1 out of every 5 people are what he calls “hot reactors”, people who may appear normal on the outside, but are walking time bombs on the inside and do not handle stress very well. Dr. Eliot has two rules or guidelines for handling stress that I find amusing, yet appropriate:

(1) Don’t sweat the small stuff.
(2) It’s all small stuff.

Even if you’re not interested in meditation or raising the consciousness of this planet, implementing a simple Level 1 chamber for no other purpose than just to relax and reduce stress could change life as we know it dramatically.
